Payero

I thought he grew into the game today. Ended really strongly.

I think he looks afraid to make a mistake. I caught a few glimpses of Warnock immediately after Payero had taken a bad touch, played a bad pass etc, and he just stood with his hands on his head, then turned to the bench screaming. Can't be good for Payero that.
 
Much better 2nd half. Lovely bit of skill when he turned with the ball, then knocked it past another player. I like that he looks for runners and tries to play the through balls to the forwards as well.

Needs to start alongside Tav in a midfield three, or as no 10.
 
Thought in a poor match he did ok there were much worse performances. Hernandez didn’t want to try and beat his man I know he had defensive duties but Jones came on and got straight on the front font. I didn’t think signing Bamba was a good idea but I was clearly wrong, he was M.O.M today.

How the ref didn’t see that as a penalty I can’t understand. Would we have won if they had scored?
 
I like payero me if we give him the ball in the middle of the park he will try to pass the ball forward and cut open defences with his passing. We just need to use him and pass him the ball more. As he isn't passed to enough for me

Was weird. Every time he made a mistake he turned round and started screaming at Leo.

He was probably telling Leo what to tell him as they speak the same language, right? He can't shout much too him as Payero doesn't speak English.

Yeah was great to see. I noticed crooks had his arm around him and pointed to the west stand. Made me wonder if he'd said something like, "look around and take this in, you've done this".
 
You know what, no-one knows what the future holds for Payero at the Boro but I hope it`s a great one, this is one lad i`m willing to give the time for him to settle in

Hope he isn`t broken by a man who doesn`t seem to see or appreciate the potential quality in this lad
 
The last 20 minuets was really promising. I hope he can kick on from here. He has a bit of quality , Im looking forward to seeing Silki adapt also as he looks a player
 
He reminds me of Rochemback a bit. I think him and Tav playing more centrally is the way forward. They both need players to pass and move with around them and can compliment each other in the way they play. He could be the man to pick out Sporar’s runs and movements too as a number 10.
