Funny how everyone sees the game differently. Hasn't been in the game for me.

There was a moment where he played a ball back to Howson and Howson played it straight back to him and encouraged him to turn and run with it but he just played a square ball.

Think it's a confidence issue and he's still playing too deep.

I think he’s played two very high quality balls in, the free kick and one to Sporar that he just missed. Think there is a quslity player in there.
 
Some are obviously easily pleased, he’s done nothing like the rest of the team bar watmore, Hernandez and bamba.

Someone wake me up when this is over!

One moment towards the end of the first half summed him up for me; played a little ball forward to Crooks and stood and watched it at first, until the dug-out give him a rollocking, telling him to get forward. He did to be fair, made a good overlapping run down the right and got it back, but he had his hands on his knees afterwards.

Doesn't look fit enough yet.
 
It was a mixture up until 70 min. He needed to force hi self on the game but then the way we play he was like piggy in the middle.

But 70 minutes that turn and through ball and since then his quality has shone through.

Problem is he wants it to feel and howson and the like bypassed him over and over again. He's a strong lad, he can have it into feet when marked.

But there's no doubt he has quality. Several through balls, his assist for coburn. Will do better in a team that passes the ball and keeps it and trusts him.


Hopefully the trusting him comes in time. Give it to him when marked.

There's a player in there and a good one at that. Time on the ball, good touch etc, picks a through ball, knows the right pass, never rushed. All the hallmarks. As clear as day.

Didn't get involved enough, didn't take up the right positions when we didn't have possession, however, he did have a few decent touches, and worked well to create the opportunity and then return the ball to Coburn for the second. There is a way to go, but it was certainly an improvement from what we have seen before today.
 
Think he was a little bit apprehensive and unsure, slowly grew into the game and you could see his confidence grow. Agree I think there's a very good player there somewhere.
