Patrick Roberts to return

Very good news indeed! We have to stay in the Championship, League 1 would be a disaster we might struggle to recover from.

Good to hear he's still going to be here.
I posted further down that you could argue that previous form is out of the window, and we're all back to day 1 week 1.
Could the previous form book be turned on its head? The top six struggling to put results together, and the teams fighting relegation becoming the form teams.
Knowing the Boro, it wouldn't be beyond imagination to see us turn it on, show some outstanding performances and leave Teessiders wondering "FFS if only"

He looked very good at home to Derby and quite good at Fulham - games I went to in the dim and distant past

Unless I'm missing something, every time a Prem League player tests positive the restart of the season goes back at least two weeks. Three clubs had players testing positive today.

What and when happens in the Championship is anyone's guess. Championship clubs are less prepared than Prem teams.

Personally I think the logistics of restarting the season are going to be so difficult and expensive and protracted that it'll never happen.

Where have you got this from?
As far as I know, all that happens is that anyone who tests positive has to isolate for 7 days.
There's going to be a lot of testing and re-testing to keep the season on track, but I think it would take more than 3 positive tests out of thousands to derail the restart.

From a BBC journalist -

"...it is yet to be explained who else would need to isolate if a player tests positive and had been training with several of their team-mates. It is likely to come down to the type of contact and length of contact with that person, using GPS trackers to determine this. What happens in the event of a positive test after the resumption of full contact training is unclear. The squad of players involved may have to isolate..."

I just don't see how all this mass of complications is going to be overcome, and for what purpose? Is anyone that interested any more? Just ending the season now seems so much easier.

Best news. Quality footballer. Would love it if we got him back next season aswell.
Back with the Boro in the championship, a good starter, let's hope we achieve the latter then get Roberts onboard
Wasn't there talk of Celtic wanting him?

Can't players be tested again?
