Partygate

Btw if the cabal thought they could replace boris and keep the status quo he’d be gone in a heartbeat. So I don’t see any loyalty to the leader it’s more loyalty for now.

Problem for the Tories is that unlike leaders past he won't go quietly, so will.be very messy and difficult taking him down with no obvious successor in the wings.

A decent party that cared about the country would get rid, replace him with someone who might he better at the job. Certainly less of a disgrace to the office. The problem is that it may cost them electorally and they're too craven to risk their hides for the sake of the nation.

Peter Bone has told Times Radio that the photos obtained by ITV News of the PM attending an event in No10 don’t show a party.

The Conservative MP told John Pienaar:

I don’t think it looks like that at all.
He added that:

The police had seen these photographs as well. So I’m happy to accept the police’s verdict on it. But we’ve still got to wait for the Sue Gray report.

"The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.”

These pictures raise some serious questions for Keir Starmer.
Hah hah, they will find some no doubt, I was with a Tory family member on Saturday who in one sentence said it was time to move on from Boris party gate and then in the next sentence that Starmer should just get on with admitting he had broken the rules and resign.

And this is somebody earning minimum wage sticking up resolutely for Johnson and the party of the rich. He thinks Starmer is a silver spoon billionaire.

I really don’t know how the Tories have managed to get their lies into the minds of these people, there must be some very subtle things going on in the mainstream and social media.

Listen you lot, if mad Nad says " The Prime minister doesn't tell lies" he doesn't tell lies, ok?

Was it Javids brother leading the investigation? What an absolute disgrace this shambolic government are.

Some great comments on this thread. Thanks

Johnson knew what pictures would be released and didn't care. He is putting two fingers up to us all and treating us with absolute contempt
His class privilege has allowed him to do so his entire miserable life. He has been educated that he is not one of the little people and that they can be disregarded with impunity

I see the fashion student who used to be Lib Dem from Durham is saying this and the Starmer gathering are exactly the same.

Absolutely. He believes he's untouchable. He was smirking about the Sue Gray report when interviewed about it today. Not because he thinks it's nothing to worry about, but because he believes it doesn't matter what it says. He'll bluster through anyway. He's far too important to be concerned about something like that.

Like Trump he probably is a psychopath (lack of empathy, no conscience, over inflated belief in their own ability etc etc) and like Trump what's almost more depressing and what makes me angrier isn't the creatures themselves, but those who enable them.

To an extent Johnson doesn't know what he's doing, he's not wired that way. He is what he is, unable to feel guilt or recognise he's in the wrong. I assume most of his MPs and right wing journalists etc are not psychopaths though. They know exactly who Johnson is and understand the damage he's doing. Yet still they support him and enable him to the detriment of the vast majority of people they're supposed to represent. All for their own personal benefit (or the benefit of their powerful backers). That's always been true of many politicians, but never to this extent and it's never been so obvious.

Shame on them.

Is that Sophie Corcoran? If so it doesn’t surprise me she’s an absolute idiot.

I think you'll find she's a 'useful' idiot rather than an 'absolute' idiot. She is like Grimes, she is being backed to say rubbish as a representative of the younger generation and she is ambitious enough to realise she will go far with this mutual back scratching. Especially since she is such a victim of her right wing instinctive responses to give reasoning no time whatsoever to butt in.

I don't know about having a smoking gun, but we certainly have a smirking bum.

The difference is that without trump there is no trump movement, but anyone of these muppets could run this cabal.

It’s not a cult of boris it’s a cult of power and privilege.

Do you think rees mogg really thinks that boris is above him or truss or even patel no they are all biding their time to
Make their move.

He believes he's untouchable
Sadly that’s because he is.

Traditionally
you fk up you resign
You lie you resign
You bring scandal You resign
You Lose the party you resign
You break parliament rules you resign

Boris has done all of these multiple times and has no intention of resigning.

He has changed British politics forever as now ministerial accountability is all but dead.

That’s a very dangerous precedent.
