Full report here, and it's not in the Guardian. The shameful 'management' of this situation by the Government is there for all to see, and in the months and years to come I hope they're held fully accountable for the absolute mess they've made and the unnecessary deaths they're responsible for.

You only have to see Johnson's speech on the other thread to see how blase the government were about this.

But then what do you expect when you elect a prime minister based on personality and rhetoric and a Cabinet appointed on the basis of ideology and loyalty as opposed to competency?

Unfortunately while nationalistic tub thumping might win you an election it's not much help when you need a proper leader of any substance.

Wholeheartedly agree with you here - Johnson and Trump got elected by being appealing cheerleaders - peel away the facade of the two of them and there’s not much underneath that says they’re competent leaders
