We are definitely world beating in this regard. Tragic that it's come to this, but I bet no-one will be held to account! Shameful ☹️
 
I've just heard that Belgium, surely our rivals for the crown, have just got the English version thanks to 2 Brits failing to quarantine properly. So they might catch us up. We need to find a more powerful variant

Absolute madness. It's not like we are a poor country. I simply can't understand how we have the highest death rate😒.

I still find it crazy how as an island this has happened? You'd have thought we could have made are selves pretty 'safe' early into the infection as it was rampaging accross Europe.

These are pretty damming statistics.
 
are all of those other countries reporting deaths within 28 days of a positive test? if not then the graph doesn't mean anything

You are probably right atypical as it's a7 day rolling average. That said we have been one of the worst countries in the world using just about any metric.

On the subject of accountability, the only thing that will, possibly, happen is the tories get booted out of government. Any review will happen under the tories and will get buried until after the next election

You seem to have missed my point. 4 million people have had half the vaccination. And the reason it's so many is because we are ignoring the manufacturers guidelines on when to give the second dose. Essentially we are ignoring the reason for the vaccination in order to make the numbers look better. At the risk to our own population.
