Our Front 3 Puzzle

I was out with the family on Saturday and didn't get to watch the game until Sunday evening. In the meantime I had read all the comments about how the front 3 lined up in both halves. A lot of people seem to have concluded that Strelec played as a Number 10 when he came on but from what I saw, he played centrally with Conway in the left 10 slot.

Also, in another thread about the team for WBA, most are suggesting that Strelec is likely to be a number 10 with Conway central. I think that when they both start it will the other way round with Strelec central. Unless we are playing against a lower team at home (who park the bus) I don't think Strelec is going to press as intensively as we require from the 10's. Of course, as he gets used to the physical demands this might change but for now I expect him to be our number 9.

Strelec is an out and out 9, from what I can see. Conway is good off the left, and I expect Nypan to take the right spot.
Whittaker, Sene and Hansen will play their part off the bench or to cover injury, suspensions or loss of form.

Strelec played the 9 and Conway the left sided 10 on Saturday 👍🏼

Is it a puzzle? I don't think so

Conway, Strelec, Nypan if all 3 fit.
Yeah it's a puzzle, mainly because we have 5 or 6 players for 3 slots
It's a great place to be
Conway, Strelec and Nypan would be my top 3 too. I'm not certain RE will go that way though on Friday. Hansen may start and Whittaker, just to keep his confidence up.

We have a really strong top end to choose from. Lush!

Hansen, Sene and Whittaker are not remotely at the other 3's levels as of yet, early days mind. Not saying they can't get there but Hansen then Sene and Whittaker would be my most likely order of the others to fill in.

What's great is that the players all have different but complementary attributes. Sene - fast, Strelec - strong, Conway - great finisher, Whittaker - good striker of the ball, Hansen - great technique. Burgzorg - holds onto the ball. Nypan, looks like he might be great at everything!

RE will look carefully at the attributes of the opposition defence and decide which three are most likely to breach it.

I think it's too early to make that call with Strelec yet
He looks the part though
