Our corners are officially rubbish

Corners should be a seen as a really key chance to get a good effort on goal, big lads forward, free cross into the box yet for us they're just tame, over or underhit, keeper claims. We'd be better off taking short and keeping the ball, playing back and going again than just losing the ball to the opposition

It's no big surprise to me really. We're not great at corners, indeed far better at scoring from open play than any set piece, penalties not withstanding. Do we need to improve in this area? Of course, though our threat from open play largely negates this.

However as other posters have touched on, I'd add that one big reason why we've had the most duff corners is because we get a hell.of a lot of them to begin with; we counter quick with many possible sources of a goal and therefore it's much more likely that opponents are likely to get desperate and it result in their knocking the ball out of play.

See also Burnley being offside the most; they've probably gotten into the most attacking positions to be ruled offside from? Or Luton committing the most fouls, that'll be because they're tenacious and tend to give their all collectively almost all of the time.
