Options better than Lee Cattermole

I suppose the answer is who knows, until somebody takes a chance on him (I don’t think we will) we will never know. The noises surrounding Lee suggest he will make a decent coach one day and he’s highly thought of by the club.
 
with zero disrespect to Cattermole, however Woodgate showed what appointing a novice - at this level -can bring, esp without some years of high level coaching to start with.

We need, someone, who has at least coached to a very decent level for a few years &had time to form their ideas into a message that players have shown they can take in & execute..

Lets not forget we're talking about a fanbase that didn't recognise the similarities between Aitor Karanka's record and that of Neil Warnock's..
or the similarities between Chris Wilder's record here compared with that of Jonathan Woodgate's.

Lee Cattermole may very well be a super talented coach, he might even be the best fit for the club at this moment in time. I'm not sure if he is being considered for the job tbh.. but if he is there will be a good reason for it and I will support that decision of taken fully.

They don't recognise it because they're not similar.

Karanka's record is massively better than Warnock's.

Wilder's record is significantly better than Woodgate's.

It's only you who tries to manipulate the stats to make a false equivalence.
