Operation to cure snoring - anyone had it?

I have sleep apnea. Wife thinks I’m dead sometimes then there’s this huge intake of breath. I think I’ve always had this but over the last few years the snoring has got worse too so sounds very similar to some of your situations.

What’s worse is occasionally at work I have to share rooms with someone, very occasionally someone I don’t know (I work offshore). I find myself hardly sleeping through paranoia of waking them up. Thankfully I haven’t shared for about 18 months but the chance is always there.

Like others I’m tired during day and fall asleep on the sofa at night before bed time. It’s miserable but in turn I haven’t done anything about it. Suppose I don’t really fancy the CPAP but I accept it might be the only option. I would be interested in an op too, I need to get my ass in gear and get to the Docs.

How close are snoring a weight linked. I always find the more I have round my midriff the worse I snore

Lost close to 2 inches around my waist and I rarely snore unless I’ve had a drink
