One Boro ITK claims Neil is off

The Sheffield Utd is looking more and more like a freak result in comparison to a number of other performances and results witnessed. A lot can see it - you can’t

look at the stats for the Sheff U game. We played with high intensity and effort but the possession and passing stats tell the story. they had nearly double the amount of passes than us and our pass completion 62%.

What about the games against QPR? Derby? Blackpool? Coventry? No excuses for those games we were shocking
What about 12 wins in 2021?
QPR was a cracking game could have gone either way. Another flukey own goal.

Blackpool good first half poor second....yet another flukey own goal.

Derby I'll take the point away from home thanks.

Coventry - Agreed poor

And the injury list we have yet to play a game yet? Dodgedby you - what a surprise!

Remind me how many games we have had to play with the extensive list of injuries you cite? To the best of my knowledge we haven’t had to do so.

Really makes you look a bit daft when you continue to put this up as an excuse - without a single game played. You are a plonker, Nobby!
Well I think Warnock is doing a good job under very challenging circumstances. It's not just the injury situation but it certainly doesn't help..It would be great to have your pick of available players but we haven't had that luxury. In fact even players on our books turned down terms....

I was still bouncing 2 days after the Sheff Utd game, surely posters aernt trying to pick holes in that game to attack Warnock, yes I understand he's not for everyone but that performance was high energy & entertaining, value for the 3 points, couldnt see many negative comments following the result
I was so much looking forward to the Hull game & I actually thought w would turm them over, we dont have the best of records at Hull over the years but with Hull without a home I expected us to score & force Hull back, IMHO, the players let NW down, sloppy passing, bad finishing & at times just bad luck cultimated in another lacklustre performnce & deserved defeat

Completely agree Sporar should have buried that chance he had...like NW said after the game. ' I can't do anything about that other that putting the ball in the net myself'
It was the disappointment after the win v Sheff Utd that kicked all this off and I get that.

Which, if it only happened every now and then, might be a reason to retain his services. There have been far too many "lacklustre" and down right awful performances with "bad luck" and "poor finishing" this year.

Time to go.

This, totally. If I was watching genuine pure bad luck then I can go with that, but it's usually bad luck combined with poor finishing and/or defending.

He's signed or re-signed the majority of the squad. I don't even see much potential to be honest. We have a few decent players but not enough that will stay to become a nucleus of a good side if we continue as we are.

As I've said before Muttley, fans pay the money & are entitled to their opinion, i'm not arguing against there points for not wanting him here, I posted on here after the Hull game I would love him to carry on & turn it around but for one thing or another I dont think he will

My post was about the comments regarding the Sheff Utd game & another post I read recently, regarding NW having a fight with a player, these type of rumours always surface, the great Alex Ferguson once said, these rumours come out of clubs when things are going bad & TBH they happen all the time, players emotions sometimes get thebetter of them

Will he survive, I hope he does, do I think he will last long, unfortunatly no, but if players continue to perform as they did v Hull then he'll be out of the door soon enough

This is a huge issue, you work harder when you don't have the ball so need to be super fit to keep it up. Playing Saturday and then Wednesday chasing shadows takes its toll, no matter how fit you are.

I would say you need a big squad to be effective playing Warnock's style so you can rest and rotate players and we don't have that. I personally prefer a possession based style that's easier on the eye, but at the end of the day we want winning football whatever the style, and we aren't delivering that at the moment.

A very interesting article but you could pick examples from any point in a game to show different things.
He does make some valid points though especially about Sporar. Like I've said previously, we all thought we were set up to play off a big target man. That plan appears to have gone out if the window with the introduction of Sporar...

I think he (NW) will give himself until xmas. If we are off the playoff pace he'll walk. While there is still hope of reaching the playoffs he'll stay. It's too early to say. Surely he won't want to end his career with a whimper?

Interesting but at Hull Sporar spurned two almost identical chances to the one he converted at Forest. He did the same v Sheff Utd. firing over. Am sure like all good strikers he will put them behind him and start scoring again soon but he has been getting opportunities. Also, as I stated after the Reading game, Payero looked the most static player on the pitch, not running off the ball. Am sure this is something he will pick up through time here.

Also Woodgate was half a season into a managerial career.

I'm personally seeing no signs of improvement under Warnock, and believe we are going backwards, and he's a experienced manager who many fans are happy to make excuse after excuse for, whereas the first signs of trouble under Woodgate they wanted him out.

I honestly don't understand the fascination to have a bloke who is performing so poorly at his job, delivering relegationesque form and will not take any blame for his own shortcomings in charge of this club. I honestly think it's like some teenage girl crush on a popstar from some posters, where they're blind to any evidence and will look to defend him no matter what.
What I find baffling is how people are unable to accept that others may have a different opinion to them.

If that's directed at me, then I accept that others like him and think he'll turn it round, or even acceptance that he's a stop gap until the end of the season.

What I find baffling is the blind faith in him turning it round, dismissing all evidence and coupled with a willingness to make excuse after excuse for him, especially since they're usually the same posters who have turned quickly on other managers with similar, or even better, records of winning games of football.
