On the news this evening regarding the Championship going ahead

The L2 clubs decision might suit them but what about the National League Premier? they are due for 2 teams to be promoted. Are L2 clubs allowing that? if not I would suing the FL if I was a NLP team with a chance of promotion. FL and L2 have changed the rules part of the way through the season and legally that is very dangerous grounds.

Bury being kicked out of the league means there's an inbalance to be addressed anyway.
At least 1 team will be promoted from the National League.

Personally I'm not really interested whether the season finishes, whether its played behind closed doors, whether the whole thing is abandoned this season, or any other possibly under consideration. Quite frankly, when over 40,000 people have lost their lives even the thought of football seems to be trivial and irrelevant.

Of course football is trivial and irrelevant - but that's not a reason in itself not to restart it, if it's safe to do so and the desire is there - even on something as simple as this thread there are people who would like it to start again, and I'd guess that in the wider population, a very significant number do as well

Edit - for clarity, I have no strong views either way (as long as West Ham and Villa are relegated and Leeds aren't promoted ;))

So it’s ok for footballers to play a contact sport but we can’t get within six feet of family an friends. I haven’t even seen one of my kids for two months because she’s in Sheffield - whole thing stinks

🐔
Not really not if they get tested.

So why bother posting or even reading this then Jonny? What do you expect to read about on a football message board on the day important football announcements are made? Jeezo, some people.

Have to say had we been in Leeds position I think very few of us word have wanted to see the Leagues finish without promotion. If you are being honest with yourself you would agree. Erimus on the other hand you seem a highly principled man and therefore I place you in the "very few"
It would be typical for us, we’d take it on the chin as usual 😖

Let be accurate about one thing, the sole motivation for getting the EPL & EFL seasons completed is financial. The consequences of not doing so would have huge and lasting collective consequences.

Yep financial is the one & only reason, people can dress it up as much as they want, yes the PL is a monster, an ugly monster at that

Of course the people who have passed away is the most important thought - its probably around 47,000 in this country.(including a distant elderly relative)

My first choice (for the last 2 weeks) is to null and void the season, but L2 chairman voted against that.
