Ok result ok performance

You can't have a pop at Akpom. He's probably never and definitely shouldn't be playing up top on his own.

He's been put into a woeful situation by injuries and our inability to get a forward in (Bolasie wouldn't have been much help). Kiefer Moore showed exactly why we wanted him and what's needed to play up top on your own.

Akpom and Britt were simply feeding off scraps and running around chasing lost causes. It reminded me of Hugill under Pulis 30yrds from anyone else.

That said decent point and hopefully two up top or at least Roberts on against Cov👍

Cardiff have some decent players but they haven't won at home.
Tav did well. Won the corner for the goal, got the assist, put two great balls into the box.
Fry stepped up and put himself about a bit which we needed against such a physical side.
Akpom was rubbish. Howson played far too many aimless balls. Morsy was quiet. We made too many bad decisions in the final third.
Would have to taken a point before a ball was kicked I hope we can take the confidence and win our next match.

Agree, if we beat Coventry at home, we'll be within a couple of points of the play offs, and on a 7 game unbeaten run in the league, despite having played the top 3 sides.

Best i've seen Fry play I think and same with Djiksteel. Lot of mediocrity from the rest mainly and Morsy was worst player on the pitch, I'm at a loss to understand why some think he's ok.

Morsy’s honeymoon period seems to be coming to the end. He has no doubt contributed to our solidity over the last few games but he seems irrevocably average. Ultimately we may need more in that position over the season if we are going to seriously challenge for a place in the top half of the table. Some of his passes today were woeful. If Warnock could just work a bit of his magic on addressing Lewis Wing’s deficiencies (e.g. tackling/winning 50 50s/defensive positioning/work rate/physicality) he could potentially offer us a lot more in that position with his vastly superior passing and shooting.

Lewis Wing isn't good enough, he never will be.

Harsh on Morsy, he isn't at his peak form yet but he's putting the miles in and will come good. His passing numbers were much better at Wigan every year, so he will get better.

watched the match on the Cardiff official stream because Boro wouldnt show it in my country ( thats another thread) and the commenyry rubbished us all the way through the game, how much better cardiff was.... Steve Morrisson was the ex-player pundit and didnt give us the lickings of a dog, said he played with Saville at Millwall and was there when he moved to Boro, said he was excellent at Millwall but lost his way at Boro !! Then he cracks one in hahaha

we have to utilise the squad, the games are thick and fast right now. 7 games in 22 days. Two very tough away trips and with the way we play, we have tot ry and switch things around a bit and get fresh legs on the pitch

whoa ! I agree that that the squad should be rotated when tiredness kicks, or players need resting to ease injury.

But that winning formula had had precisely 1 game together.
I could have understood it if....
a) that team had played together 4 or 5 times
b) the players that dropped out were fatigued.

In my humble opinion, It makes a mockery of rotation when the same ‘important’ players do not get a break.

Well Britt started the previous game and obviously has fitness issues at the moment, and despite his limitations is an important player. Roberts again is an important player and asking him to play 2 games in 4 days after only having about 5 starts in 10 months is pushing our luck.

The other players that are in and out the side right now are the wing backs/fullbacks, and no one has proven they are indispensable in that role, and it's a stamina sapping role.
