Ok let’s look at the positives

Hernandez again I thought was superb ran his heart out and provided supply when needed, ok faded in second half as did the rest of the side but still stood out.

Anymore

I thought he was quiet yesterday but definitely a tricky customer. Would like to start with him and jones. Sporar looks a proper player, Payero looked good unlucky not to score. Siliki looks a player just needs minutes.

For the first time in a long time we have quality competition for attacking positions.

We have recruited well this window, we have a good manager (I honestly believe that!).

We've had a muddy start to the season, but I think the negativity has started too soon.

Payero did well when he came on, Tav had a brilliant game - hopefully he'll keep that up, Sporar looked bright and got into some good positions - unlucky not to score.

I think the negativity has started far too soon, on another day we'd have been out of sight by the time they scored. We just need to be better at seeing out games. When we have Bola and McNair back we'll be a harder team to beat.

When you are outfought and outrun by Coventry and Blackpool then you have problems. Players believing they are better than they are, poor tactics, players not fit, arrogant manager, 2 right footers playing on the left.

Yesterday Richard Keogh looked like a combination of Beckenbauer and Moore. We sat back and let Blackpool, a team with 1 win in their previous 42, yes 42, championship away games take control and go away with a deserved win.

Theres a total lack of cohesion, a ridiculously unbalanced squad, Matt F***ing Crooks is played as the attacking midfielder, everytime a wide player got the ball in the second half there was no one within 25 yards of them, the keeper can’t save anything on target where there’s a modicum of power, anyone with a hint of acceleration gets away from the central defenders, the amount of balls launched aimlessly towards the opposition half is astonishing…..where do I stop?

The only players to come out of that with any credit are Tavernier and Jones, yet I still see Warnock having a pop at Jones for not closing down.

My main issue with him (and most of the others) is there were about ten occasions yesterday where we had an option to whip a cross in or shoot and we didn't seem to.

We seem to constantly look for an extra touch, or a pass rather than a shot, or a purposeful cross. We never gamble (well rarely) on risking the possession to score a goal.

I can only assume this is by instruction from the coaching team.

He didn't have a pop at Jones, he said that he should have got out quicker than he did, which is 100% true.

OK, let's do positives

1. Sporar looks as good a striker in a Boro shirt since we were relegated

2. Siliki is a talented player who sees play around him, he can see passes that will create chances he is still adjusting to the pace of the Championship

3. Fry is probably the best CB in the league

4. Promising youngster Jones

When you are outfought and outrun by Coventry .... blah blah blah
Have a crack at reading the title of the thread perhaps?

As I have said elsewhere, we look ok when on the front foot taking the game to the opposition, it's when the other team has the ball we seem all over the place.

There were many other players more deserving of criticism than a young lad who did more to attack the opposition than anyone else who played yesterday. Crooks as an example, incredibly poor throughout. Why not just keep it in the dressing room rather than single him out?

1. There is a lot of games still left to play.

2. We know we have the making of a decent defence.

3. We potentially have the makings of a decent midfield. Crooks looks like a good signing. Tav is rated by all. Lea Siliki and Payero could prove to be key players once they have gotten up to speed / match fitness etc.

4. We finally have both quality and quantity on the wing in Hernandez, Jones, Watmore, Ameobi and Tav. Maybe even the other lad from non league.

5. We have a decent, potentially great strike force in Sporar, Ikpeazu and Watmore, again maybe even the other lad from non league.

We certainly aren’t doing great at the minute but this squad has potential and there is a long way to go this season.

There’s no need to worry yet.

He answered a question about why we conceded. He could have dodged the question I suppose, but everyone saw the goal and I'm sure most people saw that Jones didn't get out to him quick enough.

Ok. Now tell us about the negatives.

What’s too soo? Will 12 games be too soon?

Many say judge things after 12 games, That’s only 4 more games. A couple of bad results in the next 4 could leave us well off the pace.
