Oil on the drive

Morning folks

I've had a visitor park their car on my drive and it's dropped about 10 large spots on oil on it.

Any ideas/tips on how to get it off?

I've tried washing powder and coke cola but still there although slightly fainter than it was.

Any help appreciated

I'm not speaking from personal experience, but wouldn't something along the lines of scrubbing it with oven cleaner and a hard bristle brush get rid of it. My theory is oven cleaners are designed to break down cooked oils in a oven so might help with motor oil also(this is just a random idea so research it first lol)

Put your house on the market and make sure your car is parked on the offending spots when would be buyers come to visit.

Find a new house with a clean drive (be sure to note their driveway is empty otherwise they could be trying to pull the same scam) and viola problem solved.

OR

Dress a pigeon up as a duck, rub the pigeon duck creature in the oil, ring Friends of the Earth (or similar type organisation), explain you have an oil slick (possibly from a Exxon Valdez tanker but you can't be sure) and some poor little ducks are covered in oil. They will arrive clean up the pigeon duck and then also your driveway.

Set up an oil refinery in your back garden, and then tell extinction rebellion about it. The nasty spill will very soon be neatly covered by activists laying themselves across your driveway. The fact that this is an oil spill will only serve to backup your refinery claims.

Good theory, can't see any reason why it wouldn't break down the grease, but the chemicals are extremely harsh so might eat into tarmac or even stone.

I'd like someone to give this a go, and let me know how you get on.

Fairy liquid would be a milder alternative to try first maybe.

Pour Baking Soda/Bicarbonate of Soda over the oil and leave for 30 minutes then pour over white vinegar and leave for 5 mins then wash away
