Off to bed now, 30 years ago tomorrow a day us Boro fans never thought we would see

Blimey I was staying at a fire station in Chertsey . The fireman on our shift who had a contact on that station never told us it was deep Chelsea country .
Needless to say our celebrations night before final were somewhat subdued 🤐

Ps still feel Bruce should of been afforded privilege of leading the team out

Bernie didn't even make contact. Nicholas cleared the ball IIRC.
Morning all, 30 years ago today the Boro made their 1st ever appearance at Wembley in a cup final against Chelsea, I've still got my official players tracksuit top, shirt, scarf, cap, flags, mug, programme, ticket, cup final brochure, evening gazette, photos I took on the day & match tickets of each round leading up to the final, remember staying the weekend & being at Trafalgar square on the Saturday night

The team that took to the field for that historic game - 25th march 1990 (y)

Stephen Pears
Gary Parkinson
Colin Cooper
Alan Kernaghan
Simon Coleman
Mark Proctor
Bernie Slaven
Owen McGee
Sturt Ripley
Mark Brennan
Peter Davenport
Sub
Paul Kerr - Who, IMHO, should have been brought on

WHOOPS, SORRY - WRONG MATCH AT WEMBLEY.

I went to the other final. Coca Cola cup on 6 April 1997.

The company I worked for had a massive contract with Cellnet. I played golf with the UK director responsible for managing the business relationship with Cellnet. He invited me to go along with him. If we had won the plan was for the team to come and celebrate with us in a hospitality room afterwards. We were so close to that. The champagne was still out when we went for a drink after the match. I had one beer and wend home. As I was so gutted.
