Now that Cummins has got the boot Durham Police are investigating his Lockdown Charades

When he suggested to Johnson to introduce "herd immunity" his reasoning was "a few old people will die"- a more despicable man I can not imagine.

When was that said I missed that?

Thats odd. The last time I looked working for the Government doesn’t exempt you from criminal prosecution.
Is there a case to answer, they submitted a document in Oct with a few eyewitness accounts of people saying they saw someone who looked like him? If that’s still the extent of the evidence I don’t think he has a case to answer.

It’s different , let me know the law that says he should be treated any differently to anyone else?
By making an example of him, if he is found guilty, even a slap on the wrists is a very effective message to the general public, so it is very worth doing.

Given the police were handed a 255 page dossier, one assumes it contains more than a couple of eye witness statements. They can, and will be given access to his phone records and the GPS on the phone will confirm one way or the other.

I would have thought that could have been done at the time - him and the gvt playing Russian roulette when they did that conference if he is indeed not telling the truth.

You need to read the article FatCat it will help you enormously understand why this is relevant and not at all like your neighbour. Without reading the article you are just making a bit of a fool of yourself.

The one in the OP? There is literally nothing in there that we haven’t heard before.

The 255 page dossier, I wonder what that contains. FatCat you really are blinded by a pretty evil implementation of the Conservative philosophy.

Hi Laughing, given the way things are leaked today I would have thought if there was anything substantial in there we would have heard about it by now don’t you think? The dossier has been around since the end of October.
Your second sentence makes no sense to me it feels like you just want to do some conservative bashing when really what we are talking about here is a point of law i.e. the need for evidence and a realistic possibility of a conviction which I don’t this there is here ( I’m sure I could be wrong) but I will say for the third time given what’s going on in the world I really don’t see there is any benefit on wasting any more time on this issue than has already been spent on it. There is nothing to gain and a lot of time and money to be wasted.

Strange that it took his sacking for the police to act.
As Johnson backed him up he should also have a case to answer in Cummins perversion of justice
I'm glad he is getting investigated....however what this highlights is the duplicity of application of the law depending how much power you or your friends yield. I would suspect the only reason they have the green light to investigate is in revenge for shouting at the PMs girlfriend.

I reckon it could be the other way round?
It is inconceivable that Johnson thought this had gone away and probable that he knew it could get worse.

A respectable time frame for DCs departure to be linked with something else whilst being ‘out of the way’ if the shat hits the fan.
Can’t put anything past these barstewards

On the point of law is being investigated, you think there is no new evidence based on... Well nothing really. I think there may be new evidence based on a 255 page document. I ain't tory bashing, Johnson could have put this to bed months ago but instead choose not to costing, in all probability, lives. You prefer to compare this with your neighbour flouting the rules. As I say it's a blind acceptance of a corrupt government.

Oh and on the point of bashing a tory, there are bigger fish to beat tories with.

Ok let’s see what comes of it - my bet is nothing.

You keep mentioning the gvt it’s nothing to do with that - how could the gvt put to bed months ago a legal matter they don’t control the courts. Take another example Phillip Green - people dislike him, he is morally corrupt but that’s not enough to put him in prison. Just because you dislike someone you still have to follow the rule of law. There are many quotes on hear talking about karma etc what Cummins deserves but I’ve got news for you it doesn’t work like that. Cummins is entitled to a fair trial as much as the next man or woman - based upon evidence and evidence is not because he’s the architect of brexit, not because he has steered a gvt that you don’t like to election victory - all those points are irrelevant so you then go back to the evidence - like I say let’s wait and see if there is any.

Hmm.. Well first up Cummings should have been sacked, that would have saved lives, in all likelihood. That would have drawn a goiovernmental line under the whole episode, but you knew that's what I meant, right?

The rest of your post isn't worth responding to, no one has suggested any thing other than a full and frank investigation.
