Not reading out the opposition line up

The signal is really bad though isn’t it. The worst I can remember.

I couldn’t get anything last night

I could last night but haven't been able to any other home game this season. I'm on o2, but seem to get a rubbish signal everywhere these days.

I’m on EE it’s normally ok during the match but struggles at ht but nope nothing yesterday at all.

I wonder why we stopped doing this, as last night I was trying to look up their side on my phone but the signal was none existent I couldn’t even get the scores on
My app open it was that bad.

So I had no idea Stewart was out.
Should have Wi-Fi at the stadium - i can only get a signal in the concourse near the windows in the West Upper

It was my first time with EE last night i was hoping I’d get a signal o2 was poor . They must block data to get on the net at the ground
It’s never been as bad that before

Some days I could get sky go to work but as day not even Twitter was in last night

I can always get on 4G during the match, but obviously everyone goes on their phone before and after the match so it's much harder when thousands are trying at once.
Busiest match of the season, so it was worse last night.

Took me far too long to notice Stewart wasn't playing as well.

I agree with both major points on this thread. Phone signal at the stadium is shocking, is it something Rob could ask the club about at a future supporters meeting? It is terrible and I'm not sure if they can do anything to improve it, add a signal mast, provide wi-fi access for supporters etc?

The main point about the lack of away line ups being read out does annoy me, it's useful to see which players are playing so you can identify their danger men. Also, it really ruined the likes of George Friends reception when he returned the other season with Birmingham. Usually the reading out of the opposition team when we have an old hero returning allows the crowd to show their appreciation for them. Yes, he applauded the Boro fans that were left at the end of the match but most had gone home by then and I feel he was probably denied a great reception from a full stadium like other ex-Boro stars have received in the past.

they should put the teams on the big screen during the match like blackburn do with symbols for yellow cards, subs, goals etc , not sure why they cant put it up there on a cycle with the adverts and any highlights

I thought Stewart was number 10 for a few minutes, and thought fck me how different does he look on the telly?!

I didn’t check their team before kick off but could name the whole eleven without having to look at phone , I had a couple of people asking me their team whilst I was at the game and their strengths and weaknesses 🤣

But as for the OP yes I would like the opposition line up to be read out too in future games

In fact if they did that surely the adverts would be looked at more often, so they could charge more for the space?

They put Sunderland's team (including subs) on the screen and read them out about 15 minutes before kick-off.
Perhaps they didn't have time to repeat immediately prior to kick-off due to it being on Sky and having to fit into their timings.
