Not a serious Govt

When Thick Lizzie tells the nation that she is willing to make unpopular decisions its a clear sign that this is the Tories final smash and grub to see what they can make off with before the electorate come for them.

They know their days are numbered. Some of their nests being feathered with your money in the meantime I wager.

So to sum up the first week of the Truss regime

Truss want to gift energy companies £150bn of taxpayers money
Coffey wants the NHS is to ban a punctuation mark
Kwarteng, when he’s not laughing through the Queen’s funeral, is to lift the cap on bankers bonuses.

Its not looking promising is it?
Don't forget fracking and the final assault on the NHS that is starting. They want the NHS to be discredited in the public's eyes this winter, with private insurance riding to the rescue

On the subject of fracking here's JRM so far out of his depth it'd be laughable if it wasn't so serious.

Probably thinking he should've stuck to leaving passive aggressive notes on Civil Servants desks and looking for unicorns.

The more I see of Milliband the more I like him. He talks loads of sense these days and usually nails his opponent. Think maybe the leadership came too early for him would swap him for Starmer in an heartbeat.

Think he's always talked sense, but seems a much more polished politician now and looks more comfortable in his own skin. More experienced of course. No comparison between him and any member of the current government.

as others have said the usual suspects in the media did a perfect job on him. Think he'd stand up to it much better now.

I wasn’t sure about Milliband at the start then saw him front a business meeting in Nottingham.
He was mighty impressive.

The difference between Cameron and Milliband was that Cameron promised an EU in out referendum.
The difference was the media and that fateful bacon sarnie

The tabloids power was shown for all its frightening effect with that incident. The Sun, Mail, Express and Telegraph will do their utmost to discredit the Labour leader whoever he or she may be. They failed with beergate but you can be rest assured they will be working to find a new angle to work on before the next election whilst building up Truss as some form of Joan of Arc.
