A narrow 1-0 victory against a stubborn Millwall side in front a very good crowd of nearly 25k made for a great afternoon ๐Ÿ‘

Millwall were very well organised and combative without really having the flair players to create any clear cut chances.

No.10 Flemming has scored 10 goals this season but he was poor and couldn't influence the game, his pathetic freekick attempt in the second half kept the South Stand amused.

A player I like is No. 39 George Honeyman but he too was ineffective on the day.

Millwall's best defender was No.4 Shaun Hutchinson who made one outstanding tackle on Crooks in the penalty area in the second half.

However my Notebook choice this time was only on the the pitch for about 15 minutes
No.50 Romain Esse did enough in his cameo appearance to get in the notebook this week, great ball control, tricky and strong, we simply couldn't get the ball off him. A.product of the Millwall academy he is still only 17 and has a bright future in the game๐Ÿ‘

Unbelievable find by Millwall. Never like to overhype (remember Cherno Samba?) but a really talented young man with a bright future. Scares me that someone born the same year we signed the Yak is not only a professional footballer, but is potentially a future star!

Cherno Samba? He didn't make the Notebook although quite possibly on one of Newy's lists somewhere ๐Ÿคฃ

Bump for Nobby. He deserves more than 4 replies (mostly his own) for his insight and hard work he puts into his notebook for us.
Hey thanks Gordy ๐Ÿ‘
Nice to think everyone reads it but I'm sure for MFC Recruitment it's top priority ๐Ÿ‘
We go again V's Watford guys ๐Ÿ‘
The Notebook enters it's 3rd Year, Wow ๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿ˜ฒ!!!!

Zian Flemming is the only Millwall player with even a hint of technical ability. Thought they were really disappointing actually. Very limited football team held together only by their ability to take instruction.

Apart from the substitute in my Notebook.....?
Flemming was awful but didn't see much of the ball tbf, and 'that' free kick.....๐Ÿคฃ
No chance they make the play offs for me !

I was absolutely delighted that we kept Flemming quiet he's excellent.

You're absolutely spot on with regards to Esse, he's got a big future, definitely one to watch.

Don't see how their keeper gets in over Bialkowski. He's a superb keeper

He looked ok but very raw. Quick feet but ran down blind alleys a number of times. Improve his awareness and play with his head up and there *might* be a player there.

If they can continue with the organisation and discipline Rowett has instilled in them, they've an outside chance of the play offs for me. Small squad though - think it will probably be another top 10 finish (itself a hell of an achievement with a small budget and the fact most right minded players wouldn't dream of playing for them) :)

I believe they are looking at making some signings in the transfer window, not sure why they let Benik Adobe go, always a handful tbh...

Agreed re the keeper but George Long was well regarded by contacts I have down at Hull, Honeyman went the same way from Hull ๐Ÿ‘
He would do better in a footballing side with better players ๐Ÿ‘
