No leaders in midfield

Don’t quite get what I’m hearing on the radio. Ok, Howson is getting on a bit but Wednesday night we broke forward, he joined in and told Hackney to cover him, how much more did he talk him through the game the other night. I’m sure now we have a bit more freedom we will see his leadership skills, hopefully Crooks will step up too, and McGree, maybe even Mowatt when he comes on. But no leaders is rubbish.

Mcgree keeps passing the ball sideways or backwards, need a midfielder who drives at the opposition, simply not good enough
 
Maddo fuming , lack of leaders and organisers in the team , we rolled over too easy and just accepted it .
 
But that back three should be tight. McNair is making serious mistakes every time he plays. He needs to taking out of the squad for a couple of months. Yes, that midfield needed a bit of work at the start of the summer and needed even more at the end of the summer!
 
Howson is one of these 'leads by example' type of captains. He's a brilliant professional and role model for his teammates but he's not a leader in the same form of your Leadbitters or Roy Keanes.

He's also a huge issue for us as he's not a defensive midfielder.

Why on earth do we still not have a defensive midfielder at the club. 🤦‍♂️
