Anyone see this on BBC 4 Friday night?
I’ve seen some concerts since my first one on 1973 - but nothing quite like this

It was an emotional watch - at times uncomfortable and sad, at times beautiful and haunting and, overall …..mesmerising

Saw her at Ronnie Scott’s years ago. That lady didn’t, and never has taken any prisoners.
She was a concert level classical pianist, a prodigy, that was her ambition. The concert hall.
Well that never happened. Wonder why

I came across one of her versions of my favourite songs " House of the Rising Sun" in my mid 30's and thankfully it turned my head towards her, I was going to put a slow live version of this here, but a song from the above festival memorized me so here is that one
