Nicola Sturgeon has jacked

If this is anything to do with missing money, I doubt she has anything to do with it - could you imagine a Tory Leader resigning over dodgy dealings lol.

Her husband, Peter Murrell, who is chief executive of the SNP, is embroiled in it.

She would not have got the policy (de facto independence ref at next GE) through her next party conference. Going now under her own terms rather than having no alternative.

Great news for Labour party re the next GE.
The vast majority of SNP seats have very very small majorities and they are massively over-represented at Westminster.

Also, Corbyn will not be permitted to stand for Labour!!! If he stands as an independent in Islington, he will win in any case but from a lifelong Labour voter I won't be voting for them after the shoddy treatment of Corbyn. Green here I come.
So, the best chance in a decade for a real change of Government and removing this morally bankrupt disgrace of a Government, and you don't vote for that change?

Every person who opposes the Tory ideology needs to back Labour at tge next general election.

The corrupt b***ds need to be destroyed, the opportunity to get this lot out of government for a generation is ripe for the picking.

It will take a decade just to undo the harm and probably another decade to move the country forward.

Indeedido, mine will be a protest vote. Starmer is my MP and has a 20k odd majority so my vote will not make a difference apart from, to me. Starmer, this morning, told MP's and voters, many of whom have been members, organizers and loyal to the party for decades that they can leave if they don't tow his particular line. He can FRO for me.

I'm really not sure what he has done - what position has been reached - that causes you to reach your view.
I guess we will just profoundly disagree over Corbyn - which I am guessing is driving you.

Her resignation speech definitely isn't coming across as her resigning just because she's had enough.

I am not being driven, more decided to go for a walk and take a look around and take in the air - it's polluted. I very much like Rayner and think she would be a much more honest and open leader. Starmer got my vote last time and also in the leadership election. Soon as he got in, he ditched most of what he had said and pushed the idea that his honesty and integrity are his main virtues. Funny way to show it IMO. Any case, my vote won't make any difference and I have considered my options and come to a decision.

I'd go as far as to say anybody who doesn't think the country is a complete mess at the moment should be looking to abandon all other principles for the better. Hard to see how any party could do worse than this, but voting for anyone other than Labour risks leaving this bunch of absolute jokers in charge.

She is by far and away the most competent UK leader.

Yet the way she is talked about by the media, and by the average punters in English pubs, shows that misogyny is still rampant in this country.
Is it not more of an anti-Scottish vibe than misogny? Salmond was never loved by the Sun etc here either was he?

A real change? Austerity economics and tagging migrants?

Both parties have the same ideology now. Makes more sense to push for people to vote for Labour if they oppose the individual personalities in the tory party rather than the underlying ideology IMO.

I think you may have missed the bit about the line being anti semitism

The SNP will struggle to replace a leader as good as she has been. In fact, they’ve had two very good leaders back-to-back and might struggle to get another really good one.

I personally thought Sturgeon would stick around for the general election, where the SNP will no doubt claim is an unofficial independence vote.

'I think you may have missed the bit about the line being anti semitism'. Don't get your point, full of cold and have a fuzzy head.

How I would love somebody like that In the prime-minister role here, I can’t wait for the next general election.

It’s weird that according to all polls around 25% of the electorate will vote Tory at the next election.
That’s a worry.
This could be Brexit all over again with many not having the balls to say they will vote Tory but cometh the hour….. they will.
