NFL Sunday

That’s the worst Browns loss I’ve ever seen. And as a fan for nearly 40 years I’ve seen a hell of a lot.

An absolute catalogue of inexplicable mistakes. Totally unacceptable. The Browns had a 99.9 % win probability with less than 2 minutes left to go.

Yet I’ll still be up until 4:30 on Friday morning watching the Thursday night football.

As a Boro, Browns and Redcar Bears fan, the 0-0 draw was the sporting highlight of my weekend.

I could weep.

Some crazy games non more so than the Dolphins game. Dolphins equalled their best ever comeback by beating Baltimore 42-38. I didn’t start watching the game until it was late when Miami were making their final drive to win it. However, I’d have to say the Dolphins really look a different team to other seasons — maybe an outside bet for the playoffs?

Just another crazy week of endings.

NFL is something else.

PS And it got crazier after I posted this!

If Chubb hadn't scored the last touchdown, Browns could've kneeled out the rest of the game.

Yes I’ve seen that argument but blaming Chubb for that loss is totally unfair.

13 (should be 14 points up) with less than 2 minutes to go against a team with no timeouts and an ageing, immobile QB is a position you should never, ever lose from.

I'm not blaming Chubb, if the coach wanted him to get the 1st down & stop he should've told him to. Can't expect a player to be calculating % win outcomes & making decisions on the fly.

2012 Super Bowl XLVI Giants v Pats, apparently Bradshaw was told if they let you run through try & take some time off the clock before you score, which seems to be the right way to do it.

Better than Todd Gurley deliberately not scoring / scoring by accident.

Well you could argue that Hunt ran out of bounds twice on earlier plays so he’s as culpable.

Anyway, it still took a missed xp, a totally blown coverage, an onside kick recovery and a defensive collapse to let the Jets win. Which even by Browns standards is quite something.

Dolphins just amazing. 21 points behind in the 4th quarter.

Tua finally getting good protection from the o-line but the defence oddly ineffective. Flutterings of hope...

Cardinals v Raiders was mad as well. Cardinals going for the 2 pointer to tie the game and 20+ seconds elapsing between the snap and Murray running it in.
Amazing indeed was Kyler Murray avoiding tackle after tackle scrambling 86 yards over 20+ seconds from the 2-yard line to complete that critical 2-point conversion!
