NFL Starts Tomorrow - Thoughts for the Season

Chiefs v Texans kicks us off.

Will be a strange season this year for obvious reasons.

Tom Brady no longer with the Patsies and a few players dropping out of the season for Covid 19 means the Bills are favourites for the AFC East. Need Josh Allen to improve however seems to have a top class receiver in Diggs which may help - he had the highest percentage of uncatchable throws for any QB > 200 attempts last year - and have 2 exciting RBs in Singletary and Moss. Defense was third best overall last year with further strengthening so clearly improving offensely is the key - unfortunately the 2 best teams in the NFL are both in the AFC so a trip to the Superbowl is a long shot given how good the Chiefs and Ravens are likely to be again this year.

Hoping the Bills will win the division then the wild card game but can't see them making the AFC Championship game - not just good enough all round at the moment but maybe in a few years. Think the Ravens will win this year, purely because it's incredibly hard to pull off 2 in a row - I'll take them to beat the Cowboys in Tampa.

Can't see Brady doing much at the Bucs either. Getting old, new playbook to learn, new surroundings.

Go Bills!

So having finally come around to NFL after 34 years last year, this will be my first season actively rooting for a team, and that team is (based on cap purchased at Newark Airport last year)....the Jets

Fortunately I love a good underdog story - wish me luck!

Well, I am a Patriots fan from way back when, but I think the dynasty expired in the surrender to the Titans last season. They might find a way to hang onto the AFC East but that'll be about it. Difficult to see past the Ravens (spit!) and Chiefs though as has been said it'll be a strange season if you-know-what gets a grip in any dressing rooms.

Chiefs to take their second in a row, over Dallas. Put your 50p on it.

It’s even more impossible to predict this year with the Covid opt outs. Honestly don’t know what to expect from the Rams this year, they could go 10-6 or they could go 6-10. Injuries to the o-line and no running game killed them last year.

Like being new to football and picking Oldham. 😀

New Jersey jets? Hardly underdogs... They have actually won the SB.

Way back when they kept winning everything...

Hello,

I know hardly anything about American football and I am doing a nfl fantasy draft league. Need some tips and players to sign.

thanks

Houston Texans for me, my youngest sons first job was with the Reel Group as electro & mechanical. It was part of Global Energy who had a stake in the Texans, his first job was repairing the quickest retractable roof ever built, 300ft high at the Reliant Stadium, he was there 5 months and even made breakfast TV opening sequence, pictured on the roof progress chopper report. The roof was damaged by hurricane Ike 2008.

Agree with above post that it would be difficult to predict anything other than Chiefs / Ravens SB champ.
Cowboys look strong and I like the Cardinals as an outsider. Kyler Murray is a good prospect at QB. Cant rule out the Saints either.

I have followed the Bears since I started watching NFL about 10 years ago. Selected them in one of those "Which NFL Team?" quizzes and just stuck with them. They have been pretty crap to watch though. 😳

Go Pack Go. Cheeseheads

We got a bit lucky last season but still think we're in with a shout of winning the division again. Not so sure about a conference championship game though.

Overall I think there are a few teams going to be going through a transistion this season. Plus no warm up games neither might throw up a few surpsrise results in the first few weeks.

Personally I think the Chiefs will be there or there about again. I can see the 9ers having another good season.

looking forward to it though fans or no fans :D
