Next Week.. BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!

Church Fenton - Leeds United
MF Ilia Gruev 25yo

Václav Havel Airpor - Viktoria Plzeň
AM Pavel Sulc 24yo

Sleap Airfield - Shrewsbury
CD Josh Feeney - 20yo

Wolverhampton - Wolves
RWB Ki-Jana Hoever 23yo

We’ve got one! Pav Sulc.. announced tomorrow or Friday.

Flight confirmed.. nailed on.

Flight from Corsica this afternoon too AJACCIO or BASTIA players on your list @newyddion
I'd be clutching at straws tbh.. moussa soumano 19yo striker has just moved from Ajaccio to NAC Breda.. Bastia.. lamine cisse 22yo right winger at a push.

my list? I don't really have a list.. a daft mess on.. mention a few players from clubs near a few incoming flights

RB Callum Brittain 27yo replacement for Tommy Smith
CD Steve Kapuadi 27yo replacement for Matt Clarke /David Sousa
MF Glen Kamara 29yo type replacement for Jonny Howson?
RW Pavel Sulc 24yo replacement for Jones/Doak/SIlvera
ST David Strelec 24yo type? replacement for Latte Lath

i've mentioned a couple of obscure U21's from all over the place.. we seem to be linked with similar players to the likes of Derby, Coventry, Swansea & QPR atm.. probably agent talk. Blackburn are in the mis aswell

Steve Kapuadi was reportedly subject to a £1.5m bid from Blackburn with interest apparently from Wolves and Union Berlin. David Sousa was mentioned earlier in the window and I think Swansea have recently had a €1m bid knocked back.. suggest they are maybe further forward with a deal than us. I've used the old jump to conclusions mat on Steve Kapuadi and Callum Brittain with Blackburn signing Ryan Alebiosu on a three year deal. (I think there was a plane in from near Manchester earlier in the week which I probably stuck some Man City name in for shytts and gigs.

'the big announcement' is a pretty vague cover all ala oneboro.. see also anything with medical tests booked in/completed. it's a foregone conclusion that we will sign some players.. and those things will happen.

Kapuadi & Brittain spotted at Rockliffe.. playing golf & having their pictures taken in a shirt. Callum Brittain will wear the number 2 shirt Kapuadi with the number 5. Nailed on #ITK my mams painters boyfriend told me it was all happening last week by text.
Someone has followed someone on Instagram etc.. they're meeting up with the rest of the squad in Portugal or staying here until they get back.

You said big announcement next week….just didn’t say which next week…all happening next week?!

You said big announcement next week….just didn’t say which next week…all happening next week?!
Next week as in the week after I said there would be a big announcement.

Big announcement.. NEXT WEEK

I could get into specifics.. but I wouldn’t want anyone getting into any bother.

As in.. nobody. As I have completely made it up. (obligatory winkie face emoji to suggest there is an element of actual truth in what I’m saying)

Hey pop pickers.. it’s your friendly neighbourhood eye in the sky transfer speculation.. erm.. speculator.

I’m going in heavy on Callum Brittain.. not too impressive seen as he’s been linked and interest has been confirmed.

The ‘list’ is not as big as many would have you believe.. even by my own actions off impossible impractical and unsuitable turnovers and change outs.. for entertainment purposes and to show what a huge task is ahead.. how complicated thing can get etc.. a poorly laboured point that is most likely missed by most (if not all)

Steve Kapuadi is not as much as a name out of the hat.. there is a little method in the madness. The flurry of international U21 he most certainly is not. Missed a trick with the lad from Aberdeen and a schoolboy error with Sulc.. I forgot to check the plane! Looks like he’s attracting big time interest too.

But.. how about this one for a bit of a curveball and one to add to the official top five picks?

First of all.. not at all far from Glasgow Rangers.. let’s all jump to conclusions.. we’ve got a friendly set up.. who is their top dog and rumoured to be on the move?

The obvious choice.. Motherwell is close too.. are footballers going to live in the big city.. possibly not.. less so perhaps with a local lad.

Now.. here’s the stretch.. three academy midfielders all in Portugal vying for a spot in the squad and the first team. An experienced hand in the centre of the park.. a Jonny Howson type a Glen Kamara type.. no more silly under 21s.. especially not in midfield where we are stacked.. but with a midfield three.. perhaps less so.. and with possible movement perhaps even less so.

At 18 years of age he became Motherwell youngest ever captain.. ladies and gentlemen.. may I introduce to you.. the one.. the only..

It’s a punt.. but there’s reported interest from Como.. from Celtic and Ipswich and Southampton.. amongst ‘others’

Entering the final year of his contract £4.5m may be somewhere near the asking price.. but is it all as silly as it sounds?

A deep lying playmaker who recently made is debut with Scotland.. we’ve got a few Scottish lads in the ranks ourselves and we had one very famous Scottish midfielder who made his name in a Boro.. kudos to the man who picks up that gauntlet.

Only Celtic captain Callum McGregor won the ball back more times than Miller.. also the most fouled central midfielder in the league, a nod to his ability to use his body to protect the ball in tight spaces and his dribbling prowess.

Ranked third among midfielders for chances created by the end of the season as well as deliveries into the box. an adept set piece taker.. Miller grabbed eight assists for Motherwell.. a tally only bettered by Nicolas Raskin of Glasgow Rangers amongst central midfielders.. subject to a £25m bid from Aston Villa.

His passing accuracy as a whole is further down the charts.. which hints at an area for development but this may suit Edwards’ direct style.. also Miller's tendency to play riskier passes forward could also be behind the lower figure.

Both Udinese and Union Saint-Gilloise reportedly had bids rejected for Miller in January.. the lad is on the move.. and I don’t think it is the craziest idea to have Middlesbrough as his next port of call.

We have a pathway and an opportunity to grow and develop.. we don’t hold players back. 18 years old in the Championship.. somewhat familiar surroundings.. a suitable style and teammates that will already be known to him.

This one feels right.. the right fit for both Miller and Middlesbrough.. every man needs to walk his own path.. but I’ll tell yer what.. he’d look the business in that number 4 shirt..

its been a long time coming.. but history does have a habit of repeating itself.

Wolves have on offer on the table for Steve Kapuadi.. Legia Warsaw value him at around £4.2m and they have offered him a new contract. He scored against Chelsea in the EUFA cup quarter final at Stamford Bridge. It might be a case of back to the drawing board for that one.

Watching the skies and clutching at straws..

Humberside - Hull City FC
Talk of transfer restrictions might give a bit of wiggle room to free up a player or two. The return of Ryan Giles.. or Matt Crooks.. or both!!?! Steven Alzate 26yo a versatile, composed, and technically skilled midfielder. Linked with a move to Sheffield United.

Peterborough - Peterborough United
Harley Mills 19yo left back, likes to cross and likes to tackle. Potential premier league interest..

Charles de Gaulle/Roissy - PSG
Ayman Kari 20yo box to box midfielder.. subject to a six figure bid from Burnley in January.. now a free agent.

Netherthorpe Airfield - Sheffield Utd/Wed
Sheff United - Rhian Brewster 25yo striker.. big, strong, quick, aggressive.. free agent.
Sheff Wed - Djeidi Gassama 21yo left winger.. great dribbling skills very versatile and doesn’t shy from his defensive duties either.
Nice Cote d'Azur - OGC Nice
Billal Brahimi 25yo - left footed attacking midfielder/left winger.. final year of his contract and was on loan last season at Sint-Truiden in Belgium. Rob Edwards said his prioriy was to sign 'Middlesbrough Players' - I mean.. you could choose to take this quite literally!

I still like the sound of Ayman Kari btw

Maybe 'the Brentford model' gets changed to.. 'the Sunderland model' - lets call it 'the Mowbray model' just to keep our last shred of dignity.
