Next seasons realistic aim

Get a holding/ centre mid who can win the ball, and a right back and we should be right up there if we can stay relatively free of injuries and not lose any key players (and not replace them). The latter might be a big if mind. More certainty for the LH side higher up the pitch would be good too, as I'm not that convinced on any of our options there to be honest.

Latte Lath absolutely 100% has to be fit all season though, if we lose him we will be in big trouble.

It will make a big difference to our next season who goes up and comes down. I want Leeds, Leicester and Southampton gone, and will happily take Sheff Utd, Burnley and Luton in their place. On that basis I wouldn't be afraid of anyone next year.

Lots of if's and but's there mind, but if that all comes to fruition then we should be having a crack at an auto spot, and play-offs as a minimum.

We've been in automatic promotion form for some time, despite playing a lot of good teams and with a squad decimated by injuries, so I'm going to be quite positive, until I get the sickening blow of the transfer window.

Latte Lath showing his class these last few weeks has been a godsend. Means we don't have to spend the majority of our budget on a new CF and perhaps can afford to take a punt or go down the loan route.

That gives us more money to spend on LW and CM where we are short of quality and numbers. Ayling in will solve RB.

I fancy a few Scott specials. Patrick Berg fro Bodo/Glimt anyone?

I think we can challenge for automatic promotion next season, but keeping VDB, Hackney and Lath will be key.

I feel we need quality over quantity this summer. Use the budget to bring in players who we feel are going to be good enough for the first-team - the likes of Fry, Bangura, Engel, Howson, O'Brien, Ayling and Coburn probably aren't good enough to be starting for a team aiming for automatic promotion, but they're good enough squad players, so we don't need to be signing any more squad players ideally.

Offer Ayling a one year deal. Try and get O'Brien back on loan, and then as I said, aim to sign players for the first-team.

We aren't in touch with the play offs.

Why will we be stronger compared to this year when we are weaker compared to last year?

90ish points looks like top 2 form for the last few seasons. We are more than 20 points shy of that.
Because we surely won’t have half a squad injured for much of the season

Of course MC will be going for the top two places, realistically I think we should be targeting a top 4 finish. It'll all depend on who comes and goes, but I think we have a real good core of a team to build on.

I'm going to be putting a modest double bet on both York and Boro to get promoted next season. I'm just crazy!
