All completed now .. the only good thing that's going to come out of this is 55,000 Geordies calling for the board to be sacked come the end of the season because they haven't won the Premier League.

Best case, relegation this season followed by withdrawal of investment ?

I'm still not 100pc convinced the best players on the planet will take Newcastle over Paris for example.
 
Let's see opposition fans waving giant foam-hand bonesaws on Sky. Beam that around the globe every week and evil regimes would soon lose their appetite for football.

They will for a mil a week as that’s the level these will go to.

I just meant any foreign investment, not this specific takeover.


It’s a tricky one where to stand with it, we live in a country that has historically built wealth from the suffering of others, as a country we have all sorts of financial links to these countries, products we use every day will come from the same countries, businesses have all sorts of links with them too.
Football is built on people with very questionable backgrounds and plenty of clubs are benefitting from it. We are going for a World Cup in one of the countries with the worst human rights records. Where do you draw the line? And why is this getting so much backlash when I people who are just as bad have such an influence in almost every aspect of our society?
 
Most on here are in the minority , if you asked most fans do you want your club to have virtually unlimited cash a good 90% would take the cash put in everytime

It will be a big problem if they start to rival City, Liverpool, utd etc. Would imagine it will impact our support alot in years to come. Kids growing up on teesside have the choice of watching a average champo team or travel 40 minutes up the road for top end prem / champions league football.... The floaters and glory hunters will end up Newcastle fans
