Newcastle falcons, kings of the North

Probably for one night only but good for them to finally win. Even gooderer on a night when Sale get hammered too. Best team in the North...

Exeter 5 defeats in 5. They’ve been close in most games but Newcastle deserved that win last night.

Not sure how some of the clubs afford the squads they have.

Great win for us! Pity about conceding the last minute try for the Exeter bonus point.

Yeah it's a shocking start. I was there the back end of last season when they tore quins apart. Can't belive it's changed so much for them

By losing money mainly. Since covid every club has made a loss every season. And in the years before only exeter themselves were making a profit. Its a dire state. Still, assuming Doncaster don't win the championship there's still no relegation threat

Think Coventry are looking to expand Butts Park to 10,000+ capacity so that could / would put them into the mix. There’s plenty room for them to do it too.

Even better result last night!

Just the tonic I needed whilst trudging away from watching a whalloping.

What's in the air up there these days? Shame about Blamire leaving mind
Balmier leaving? Didn’t know that was happening. I know Rubiolo has been poached which is a shame.

Shame he's not going back to Billingham, he'd come in handy in the fight against relegation.

He would that! Great result at the weekend but don't hold much hope for this weekend.

Great move for Radwan, he was a wasted talent at the Falcons. I was up watching the game against Quins and made a point of saying to a friend that he is a great player, full of speed and energy but never gets hold of the ball in the right areas to make any impact because the Falcons constantly have their backs against the wall tackle after tackle. Against Quins he was playing through the centre for most of the game just to get hands on the ball.

I can't help but feel that the immediate effect is a mutual agreement to help out England during the 6N. I do think he'll be included into training squads throughout the tournament. He has been used before but Eddie Jones didn't like him, I seem to recall Jones saying he didn't have a rugby brain.
We have some good wingers, but can they really have the same effect coming off the bench as Adam can? The last thing you'd want in the 65th minute is Radwan galloping towards you.
