Looking to switch my work phone as its been on a rolling contract for a couple of years now but 3 have decided they no longer want £10 a month from me, but will increase to £16 for the same deal. The phone is currently an oldish Iphone SE (one of the original ones not a modern one, so is around 4 years old).
Being an IT neanderthal, my queries are this; firstly, I think I'm going to move away from Apple and grab myself an Android phone. My personal phone is a Huawei P30 Lite and despite the fact some say they wouldn't use Huawei for security purposes, but I really like my phone. Plenty storage space for my music collection, excellent camera and surprisingly great battery life. I've pretty much decided therefore to move to a Huawei P40 lite for my new phone, however there is a 4g and a 5g variety, does that 5g really make that much difference?
I am also wary of whether I am able to somehow transfer all of my data on my iphone (contacts, messages, media etc) to my new Android phone in a straight forward manner, can this be done easily? Thanks.
