Twen: “Feeling in Love (From the Waist Down)”..........................not sure about this yet but it has something and might well grow on me as it is by the end on first listen.
The Orchids This Boy Is A Mess.....................Scottish indiepop cult heroes The Orchids will release their first album in eight years in September. Welcome back.
BLONDSHELL - "OLYMPUS"
NYC-born, LA-based artist Sabrina Teitelbaum released her first single as Blondshell. And very nice it is too. EDIT: In fact its very good.
Andy Partridge - Lets Make Everything Love................................while not my usual cuppa I had to include it as the guy is a genius. Apparently Tony Bennett sang it when he appeared at Glastonbury and it was then covered by Amy Winehouse. So I hope it made him a few bob. Although Andy says it wasn't covered by anyone below.
It comes from this.............. My Failed Songwriting Career - Volume 2 presents a fascinating selection of songs resulting from Andy Partridge’s post XTC period as a songwriter for hire writing for other artists

"Written with no particular singer in mind, this was offered to literally EVERY
"modern jazz" make out there. You name 'em. I really wanted to find something with authentic feeling late 50s 'sassy' lyrics, the sort of thing Sinatra of Bobby Darin made their currency. Altough this tune never got covered. I'm rather proud of it. The excellent piano plying is a US friend of ours, name of Art Labriola, and the drums are Brit, Ralph Salmins."
