New life for the Capt.Cook pub

Just looked at these pictures of the Capt Cook pub'. I think it's a shame to see such an old pub and building looking like that. I probably drank in there no more than 5 times. I wondered if anyone had any positive memories of the place or whether people think it would be viable for it to reopen?
Maybe as a microbrewery some rooms ?

I thought there were plans for the old place.Rob may know more.
 
Python Properties were supposed to have taken it on sometime ago but nothing was ever announced so it looks like it has all fallen through.
I reported to the council that the plaster work was deteriating badly. That was a couple of years ago. Much of that detail has completely gone now, sadly.
Sad that neither the Captain Cook or the old Town Hall are part of the Digital City plan for St Hildas. But maybe they can gain in some way from the investment in that area.
