woodgates quotes this morn in media expects howson to be here next season and we are really, really close for pears and spence contract extentions, which is really good.

I do think this season, apart from the obvious of his 1st season, that one hand is tied behind his back & that he's actually been unlucky this season, the Roberts injury sort of highlights that
If he gets tied down who he wants & adds in the summer we could have a good next season
Plus I do love his after match interviews

Keep at it Woody 👍

Can't understand why negotiations take so long with the youngun's. Stick a few grand on their current payslips and get them signed up!

Agree about how typical of woodgate's luck the roberts injury is. just as he was starting to suggest he could be a key player for us, and an important part of the tactical picture he gets a semi-lengthy (oo-er) injury.

However, get the youngsters, howson and ayala signed up and a defender over the line before the window "slams shut" (ffs), and we're looking alright with the players we have coming back

yes i think after a bad start hes really getting to grips with things now.im again starting to look forward to games,he had horrendous luck ,but i really do think we are on the way back.we are deffo going in the right direction and looking a good, very good decicson from gibbo appointing him.

Howson is a must to keep. He's been our best player of the season for me.

We need his experience to help with our younger players.

Even the likes of Saville & McNair aren't exactly fully experience pros yet.

Pears & Spence need signing up too(y)

I'd say he's been lucky with some injuries as they've forced him to play certain players who have then seized those opportunities. That's true at any club though so it's not a dig at Woodgate. Howson, Spence and Coulson in particular have grasped their chances.

I don't think we're in a position to just throw money at the young players either so I'd prefer the club to negotiate a good deal with them.

Disappointed there is no mention of Ayala
Sorry, I love Ayala, but his ankles are worse than Kane's (how many games has he missed over the last few seasons).
And I still wake up sweating in the middle of the night recalling his gift of a goal to Wolves in the first game of the Premiership season.
