New Board Colours?

The logo and the colour is taken from Fly Me To The Moon fanzine - we have rarely used post box red, nearly always that red colour. It can look orangey on some devices and yes some of the writing looks orangey on some screens too. We can look at this. But there is logic to it - it is the colour taken from the fanzine.

Yes, I understand what you mean. It is based upon the printed fanzine colour.

Looks exactly the same as the fanzine to me and that is AOK

maybe the orange from the original fanzine many moons ago (joke) was not correct and it has just been kept the same , I would like to see a true red colour

Not all CMYK (printed fanzine) colours can be displayed using RGB (monitor/mobile screen). Although the values may equate in theory, the real life results can vary.

It just needs tweaking a little, and one approach could be to reference a physical printed copy alongside the screen.

I'd say it is Vermillion, which is a shade of red .... at the iron oxide end. Which might be seen as appropriate, though it's not boro kit red. Having said that, the boro kit of the early seventies ... Stan era, was a much deeper, darker red than the one we are used to now.

But the whole point of the colours was to match the fanzine colour - it is the fanzine website after all.

so the fanzine was orange. Was that by design or an error? 67.% red, 21% green, 11% blue if it is to replicate the fanzine then orange it will be
