Over the last 5 years what has our net spend actually been ? If you include parachute payments. Incomings, outgoings, wages. Where has the money gone ? Should we be as skint as we appear to be?
 
Our transfers are probably net zero, our promotion money has been spent on wages, 5-10 million a piece for downing, gestede, clayton, leadbetter, ayala, Randolph, braithwaite etc and then there’s the players Karanka signed for the prem season valdes, negredo, baragan, de roon.
 
We had a 16 Mil wage bill last season. It's down from a stunning 24 a few years ago.

I guess next summer we could lose Johnson / Britt / Fletcher and Howson off the wage bill. That's once again some outlay. Then again you've gotta potentially replace them all for no incoming fees.
