Neil Warnock - 'There's nobody at the club I wouldn't sell'

I'm so pleased to hear this

Not one of them has proved themselves to be vital to us, so whatever is needed to get a better squad has to be done

As Ive said before I'm not especially wanting any particular player gone, just wouldn't lose a wink of sleep over anyone leaving if that's what it takes

Kind of agree but would be very disappointed if we sold Tav, he looks to be maturing into the player he’s meant to become now. Think we are in for some really good performances next season if we keep hold of him. I’m sure he is the one Warnock would least like to lose.

Wasn’t that keen on Tav before but I thought he was brilliant since the restart and was full of hard work and creativity

I imagine he's just throwing it about that every player has a price. He's probably wanting to boost his transfer kitty.

I imagine the likes of Britt/Fletcher /Saville and Mcnair are on a few quid so could move them off the wage bill.

We may have a few sellable youngsters who we could cash in on.

I think he was talking more about it in terms of finances as opposed to suggesting none of them were any good. He said something like "that's just how football is at the moment" and talked about nobody having money. I just don't think we're in a position to turn down a good offer if it means getting a few players in with the money

Agree with Block21 re: Tav, I think he’s the only player who’s potential definitely outweighs what we could get for him Imo.

Maybe Spence also.

The thing is that neither Tav or Spence (or Coulson or any of them) are currently £15m players. They have potential to be but they currently don't perform like one. The question is then do they have potential to be £30m players or should we just cash in now before we waste 3 or 4 years and risk that they are players that don't become £15m players.

My feeling is usually that if they are exceptional then we keep them because they are hard to replace even with a load of cash but none of them currently are exceptional so I'd say cash in if we get a good offer.

The thing with Spence is I don’t see him as a RB or a RW. He is a wing back. I’m sure Warnock is trying to build a side to fit his favoured formations which is normally 4 at the back so unless he sees him as a winger I don’t see how he fits in. He’s a cracking prospect and would love to keep him but if he gets sold we could strengthen in players more suited to players who would fit the formation. Same with Coulson really. I do hope the pair of them can settle in a position though, I get the impression Warnock isn’t a fan of the wing back system which kind of doesn’t help them 2 imho.

Started diving n cheating. The birmingham fiasco when there was nowt wrong with him. But since lockdown i have to say no diving and he was tremendous.

I am reading some pretty low valuations on top draw champo players. Watkins is being talked about as 18-20mil this morning. He scored 26 goals. Eze at QPR is going for 20mil....hes far better than Tav so no chance of getting 15mil for him.

So I very much doubt Fry/Tav/Spence or Coulson come anywhere near that. I think covid has done reset on fees.

I would imagine bids of 5-8 Mil would he very 'significant' for us on any of those 4. They key is we add plenty of add ons...especially 10-20% sell on clauses.

You could sell Coulson to Newcastle (as an example). They sign him for say 5-6mil. He would only need to play 30 odd games and a great season his value would be 10 fold after one season. So sell ons for our brightest young players is a must.

The the other issue is most sales are staggered in instalments. So just because we sell Mcnair for 5mil don't mean we are getting that (we may not have paid Sunderland all of it).

we would do well to keep Britt/Fletch as a strike pair - theyve delivered since Neil arrived, in my humble opinion - however i accept that its the managers opinion that counts, not mine.

but as we have said for season upon season on here, every player is for sale, at every club and in every league, so its not ground breaking news for a professional football manager to cotton on to it eventually.

Yes I agree he wasn't slagging them, just saying that he'll wheel and deal and nobody is unsellable

Couldn't agree more, it's just such a poor group of players.
I regard most of them as chancers than real decent pro's. They've worked their way into professional footy but they believe that as soon as they've got a good contract that's it, they've made it and have no real ambitions to get better as players, seems like some players main ambition is to maintain their millionaire lifestyles and nothing else.
