Need Help (Next Gen Console)

I spilt a drink on my Xbox Series X - It's now broke, warranty is £300 to fix haha!

I've noticed people on marketplace selling them brand new for £350
I've also seen people selling brand new PS5's for the same price.
OR, do I go for a brand new Series S but possibly have to upgrade the Hard Drive

Don't know what to do, Gamers of FMTTM. Help!

I'm leaning more towards the Series X like, mainly because of game pass. I never thought of selling it for parts

I've got the Series X and it's a superb piece of kit especially with the ultimate game pass thing which pays for the console and the game pass on the console AND PC. Some big games coming this year too. Forza Motorsport, rebuilt completely from the ground up and only for the Series S and Series X so a true next gen title. Plus Starfield the next AAA game from Bethesda..

I've absolutely loved my Series X! I'm absolutely gutted it's broken.
I think I've decided on just getting a new one haha, Gonna try sell it on Gumtree haha
 
I went playstation this time having gone Xbox previously. My reasoning was there were PS exclusives I wanted to play - Kojima (though he is apparently working on a game with Microsoft now 🤬 ) and final fantasy. The console war really seems to be hotting up. Seem to be far more exclusives these days which can only be bad for the consumer.

Maybe it me getting older and gaming much less than I’ve ever done, but I don’t really get the impression this generation of consoles is hotting up at all. Other than speed there’s not a huge difference from the last gen. There doesn’t really seem to be many big titles, let alone exclusives.

The way online gaming went over the last decade has really killed off much of my interest. So many games refined specifically to milk more money from people rather than to be enjoyable.
 
I think there is a big differenced from last gen esp with ray tracing for graphics and load times. Does need to be more killer games though, I still play my pc far more than my ps5

I've seen some genuine ones! It's cool though i think I've decided on a series x and got one lined up!

I put my broken one on gumtree for £180 in hope more than anything and already received one email. Wish I could fix consoles haha

I honestly doubt anyone is selling them at £350 mate

They're selling used on eBay for £435. They're £479 new and prices really haven't come down that far

Are you Perhaps thinking of the digital edition with no disc drive?
