Necessary Evil - Moving House Recommendations

Hi all, currently in the process of moving house for the first time in a long while and wondered if anyone could recommend some reliable leeches, sorry solicitors to manage the whole conveyancing, for both sale and purchase.

A quick forum search showed a short thread where Merritts of Yarm seemed to be recommended by a few posters, but anymore for anymore?

Thanks in advance oh wise and experienced forum members (plus one or two dribblers ).

I've used Cochranes twice, seemed painless with no issues.
