Even if we do, a 2/3 week lockdown is surely far too late considering the current daily infections?

I would've thought it would be a minimum of 4 weeks, more like 5-6 to make any sustainable impact

A yes from me, although some people mental healths will suffer if we lockdown, the nhs staff will suffer mental health problems if we allow hospitals to become overwhelmed. That could have long lasting effect on service levels the NHS are able to provide

Such as the scenes seem in Rome, Berlin, Bologna, London.

The results of this poll will be those in cushy public sectors jobs or retired will be in favour of a lockdown and those of us who aren't in the public sector and rely on busineses been open to pay rents, mortgages, bills, food etc will be against a lockdown.
Some of us may be in favour who have pregnant wives who work in a hospital

I run my own business and that would be seriously affected by a total lockdown, but I can’t be that selfish. The only way to stop the R rate rising is to lockdown and encourage everyone to follow the rules. This is a matter of civic duty and about looking after fellow human beings health, especially those that are vulnerable.
I’ll lose out financially but I’m ok with that as it’s for the greater good.

I feel your pain, while my partner doesn’t work in a hospital but she is pregnant the whole covid situation has brought her a lot of stress with it being her first pregnancy so I think a lockdown will help her so she can be at home as she is frightened to leave the house to go to work incase she passes covid onto the unborn baby. I would like a lockdown I think if it came with a bit of decent financial security anyway
