Nathan wood what is going on

I have to say it seems like another rule change to favour the big boys not being able to recall. I don't think you should be able to contractually stipulate like Liverpool do that a loanee has to play either or your financially penalised. These little changes all add up to disadvantage the smaller club not surprisingly Liverpool take full advantage they are a particularly unscrupulous club.
It’s feeder clubs by the back door

Neil is that you

joking aside no club of our size should be going anywhere without enough players to fill the bench.
I'm just someone who knows what the rules are and understands the pros and cons of the situation. You have to balance the development of young players with the needs of the squad.

People talk about having a plan. Here's a plan for you. We spend a lot of money on our academy. We have a reasonably big catchment area. We have an academy with a good record in producing quality players.

Have a small versatile squad. Fill the gaps with youngsters. Become known as a team that will give opportunities to young players. Hire a manager and say to him, you don't need to get us promoted this year or next. Unless you are in real danger of taking us down we will stick with you on the condition you look after the long term interests of the club and play our young players.

Oh and prioritise the cups.

Nathan Wood will again join up with England Under-20s next week.

The 19-year-old, who captained the U20s to a 6-0 win against Romania last time out, joins up with the squad on Monday ahead of games against Italy at Chesterfield on Thursday and the Czech Republic in Teplice on Monday 11 October.

Nathan, who is also on standby for the England U21 squad, is currently on loan at Hibernian.
Agree totally Zorro.
I posted the other day how well he is developing, in spite of his absence of game time out on loan - and was told that was twaddle.
Hes obviously doing something right.
I`de sooner we got rid of a Manager who says hes sodding off at the end of the season, and keep young Woody who has the talent, skill and leadership potential for the future.(y)

Are you Chris Hughton in disguise (?) and can you get here before Christmas to save our season from falling to bits?!
Best wishes - r00fie.(y)

I we don't get promoted this season I can see us selling Dael Fry and Marcus Tavernier and for them to be replaced with Nathan Wood and Martin Payero

It begs the question - how good is he? I know he is doing his thing at England level - that’s against players around his own age. Senior football? Somewhat different.

HE's clearly an exceptional talent, but Hibs obviously took him as backup and the first choice players didn't get injured

So where would the exceptional talent get a first team game in senior football, which he needs?

League one or just below would be better than no football at all.

If he's not good enough for Hibs he must be way off our first team.

Well he played regularly for Crewe last year so maybe a loan again in League 1. I think Warnock said as much but was blasted on here for saying that.
