Name a shop that is closed in Teesside that you love to bring back.

My first thought was Game, loved that shop as a nipper. Buying terrible games on cassette for the old Amstrad, then waiting 15m for it to load.🤣. But just looked it up and apparently its still open 😲.

A few from Stockton:

Ray Allans
Duncan
Tip Top
Dressers
Willie Maddren's (was this Bill Beatties before that????) and then thatsecond hand record shop
The badge shop in Castlegate centre (punk/new wave days)
HMV
Studs Boutiques (Stewarts)
Dovecot Salesrooms :ROFLMAO:
The Homebrew shop
Debenhams Record dept

Yeah, I used to go to look at and hopefully buy the 2nd hand stuff they traded in and upgrade whatever I had at the time.
I did the same in the 80s when I was at school. Could only afford the cheap second hand stuff! I had to beg my dad to buy me speakers and a cassette deck.

Was the local supermarket when I was a lad Hintons had over 50 stores around the North east. They even had their own branded food. The company opened its first store in 1919 and was taken over by Argyll foods or Presto in 1984. Hintons also took over Wintenschleden off licence
So all in all 3 shops that are no more

C&A in cleveland center. Mainly for sentimentality...the canteen it used to have. Used to go everytime with my mum and grandparents and usually got milkshake and a cake.

Edit- my memory contradicting me. Maybe it was Littlewoods wirh the canteen 🤔

There was a sports shop on Linthorpe Road (village) that was great for table tennis stuff. Can't remember it's name but I think it was an Inter Sport branch.

The little sweet shop (can’t remember it’s name) in Normanby. That’s were my dinner money for school would be spent.
