Name a realistic Leader

Name a realistic leader you would like us to sign (championship level) I am assuming we will stay up for this thread.

It is a tough one to answer but interested to see some suggestions. We are desperate for someone to get a hold of the dressing room.

I think we need talkers throughout the spine of the team.

CB Shaun Hutchinson - Millwall
CM Barry Bannan - Sheff Wed
CF James Collins - Luton

I remember Robbo in his first year Here telling the other players to talk to him on the pitch. I suppose they might be leaders as well.

In reality we will be looking at relegated players and freebies. Sam Morsy at Wigan maybe.

As an aside, I do know one thing, I’d be trying for Herbie Kane on loan and Roberts again too if we did stay up

GK Joe Hart - Burnley - FREE
DF Grant Hall - QPR - FREE
MF Josh Cullen - West Ham - FREE
RW Duncan Watmore - Sunderland - FREE
ST Lyle Taylor - Charlton - FREE
MF Alex Mowett - Barnsley - £500k
ST Ivan Tovey - Peterborough - £5m
DF Ben Gibson - Burnley - LOAN
LW Izzy Brown - Chelsea - LOAN

I've always felt more comfortable with a leader/Captain being a centre half. I think its more to do with the fact that they can see what is happening in front of them, always think of forwards etc as having their backs to the game for some reason.

I would look at teams in the prem, either relegated teams or players on frees? Might be a few of them, who would maybe fancy the challenge as a last hurrah.

Peter-Borough.

good shout for Isaiah Brown though, his at Luton on loan, but no chance of breaking into the chelsea 1st team.
the team isn't doing well but he still looks good, he looked canny at Huddersfield too.

I think Grant Hall and Ben Gibson are decent shouts. Grant Leadbitter was great and kept us ticking from the centre of the park. The more big personalities we have in the team, the more strong players we have who will look around and push their teammates the better. Bring them all in, the best of the best.. the top guns!

the fans want to see passion, the fans want to see grit and determination

On odd occasions last season I saw Stubbs`playing for Notts County [in a relegation battle](some night games):
He harries, pulls players into walls at free - kicks and not backward in coming forward.
He throws himself infront of attackers and balls to protect the goal mouth.
He roughs it and not afraid to organise and have a go.
Even though county were relegated Stubbs was one of the few stand-out players who fought to the bitter end.
Hes in his 20s.
Why not get him out of the reserves and put him in the defence?
Sooner have him on the pitch than the likes of Morrison.
Get him in there!
