Their current ground grading probably wont get them any higher up the pyramid
Yep they will have to upgrade their current ground to get further, or move and see what the council can do for them in the town centre. Needs a new sports complex building in the centre of town.
Not that far away if they have investment. its a big enough town to do it imho. Id love to see it happen.

I'm Middlesbrough born and bred, TBH pains me to say it but in this town we also have our fair share of fans who 'support' other clubs. Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea, etc we even a few Sunderland fans as well. We can't point the finger at anywhere else on Teesside!

There was coke vending machine at a venue , then a Pepsi one was added . Sales in the coke machine went up along with healthy sales for the Pepsi . I wonder if the same effect would happen if we had 2 local sides in the league competing .

It’s the fact they play in a Sunderland strip that put me off supporting Guisborough.
I've mentioned on here before regarding watching South Bank United as a child. We lived on Redcar Road and I would go to the home games when we weren't attending a Boro game. I always wanted a South Bank kit but my dad refused to buy me one.

I also love this story on how Sunderland got their stripes: -

Sunderland shirts were a gift from fellow northeasterners South Bank FC. The Mackems had run into financial strife - reputedly even raffling off a canary to keep things ticking over - and called their neighbours for help. South Bank responded by sending their kit - red and white striped shirts and black shorts. Sunderland expressed their gratitude by thrashing them 7-0 in the 1887-88 season.
