My UEFA Cup Memories

Anniversary of Boro's UEFA Cup final yesterday - the match itself got away from us and we ended up on a hiding as we went on all out attack to get back on terms. Yet the road to Eindhoven was the stuff of dreams even if the final was a nightmare. And in so many ways it remains the high water-mark for the club. I was delighted to be asked for my memories by Gazette's Dom Shaw - what an honour to be asked to share memories alongside players Massimo Maccarone and Franck Queudrue.

Bit of trivia for you - Who were Boro's three goalkeepers during our run to the Final in 2006 ?
 
I don't remember much about the match itself apart from the usual apathy when we're getting thrashed. Still, it was great to be there :p
 
I didn't say he played. He was on the bench at Skoda Xanthi, Grasshoppers Zurich and A Z Alkmaar and the 2nd Leg of the semi v Steaua Bucharest at the Riverside.
