My Dad is now a member of the Holgate in the sky šŸ˜Ŗ

So sorry to hear. Itā€™s heartbreaking losing parents. I lost my dad just before the league Cup win in 2004 and he was all I could think of when that final whistle went and how he would have enjoyed that moment. Heā€™d waited for it all his watching life.

I hope we win for your dad today and remember the great times you had together.

Sadly on Thursday night my Dad passed away. He was a gold card holder in The North Stand. I only lost my Mam in June so it's such a big shock. We've been going to the match together for 32 years, stood on The Holgate and then The Riverside. I will be going today, the empty seat beside me will break my heart, but he would want me to go, it's what we did. Come on Boro, a win for my Dad today please āš½ļø
Sorry for your loss. Feel for you mate, my mam and dad passed 3 weeks apart in 2019 and Iā€™m still an empty seater too, but the people around me are brilliant so I never feel ā€˜aloneā€™ at the match. Somehow the fact they all knew the owld feller is a comfort too. Obviously youā€™ll miss him forever, but I know the great times we had at the match will live forever too. look after yourself and your family.

Really sorry for your loss. I hope the Boro can help ease your pain for 90 minutes. The seat may be empty but your thoughts will be overflowing with the happy memories you made together. Lets all give an extra ā€˜come on Boroā€™ for your dad today. Take care.

So sad to hear that You have lost your dad. You would have shared so many lovely times together and going to the match today will be a poignant reminder of those.

As others have said hope Boro do it for your dad today and remember those cherished times with him.

He will be cheering on from the Holgate in the Sky. We will all be there one day as fans of this special club. Hope we win for him today mate and enjoy the game as best you can. Sorry for your loss and best wishes to the family.

Condolences to you and the family. Iā€™d been going to the match with my dad as a kid since 1973 up until his 80ā€™s when he could no longer manage it. I canā€™t imagine how difficult itā€™ll be for you today although remember the goods times youā€™ve had. Youā€™ll always miss both of your parents although as they say, time is a great healer.
best wishes and UTB.

Echo all the condolences on here mate, hope you and the family can take some comfort from looking back at the good times.

Raise a glass and toast the big man.

It's hard loosing a parent, doubly so when you loose both close together.

Take the time to grieve and look after yourself.

Sorry for your loss. I can't imagine how difficult it will be for you today to go to the match alone, but as others have said - your Dad will be there with the others in the Holgate in the Sky. My thoughts are with you.
