Muniz

I think that if we had better cover for midfield than Mowatt that Muniz would have made the bench but our central midfield is looking a bit thin. That said, I think Carrick rates Mowatt fairly highly. He's not better than Hackney and Howson but Carrick seems to trust him to come on. You can see Carrick has come to quite fixed views on the quality of his outfield players.
Good enough to start: Smith, McNair, Fry, Lenihan, Giles, Hackney, Howson, Forss, Crooks, McGree, Ramsey, Akpom, Archer
Good enough to come on: Bola, Dijksteel, Mowatt, Barlaser,
Only in emergencies: Muniz, Jones, u21s

Jones has been sinking down in his estimation while Muniz suffers from being #6 out of the 5 available loans.

Looking at Akpom’s change in fortune must give him some hope.. I would be doing EVERYTHING Chuba is doing is I was Muniz.. doing whatever it takes

Muniz features heavily in the latest training pics. Will be interesting to see if he is on the bench this weekend, as we've been a bit light on the bench in terms of strikers lately.

I think it's possible, especially if McGree is rested after his international advdnture, as he could be used as a midfield option instead of Mowatt and free up that loan spot.

I imagine it's cost us a fortune in terms of loan fee and wage percentage. That's for little or no return.

To think we have wanted him for nearly 2 years. We could easily have bought him for 6-7mil.

It's simply not worked out. I'm sure we and probably Fulham tried to move him on in Jan. Especially as we added to our loans. So he's effectively stuck in limbo.
I doubt we have paid much of a loan fee and his full fulham wages are not high for championship either, we may only be paying a portion of them, he was never going to be on a massive wage coming from brazil as just a player with potential

he is just victim of the max number of loans

Carrick knows his training and how he is fitness wise, I'm certain he is making the best choice for our team

We are winning most games - so if the manager is not selecting him why are people not happy with his matchday squad selection?
The loan spot does not especially need 'freeing up' if we are winning

I don't think McGree will be rested. And if he is he'd still be on the bench with Ramsey in the starting line up.

Sonny Finch injured un U18s game for England so guess he could take his spot on the bench

He's playing right this minute for Australia, after recovering from illness.

The point of my post was him being on the bench, if McGree is an option off the bench then he could play in two positions, wide left or in the midfield.

Which would reduce the need for Mowatt and possibly open up a spot on the bench for Muniz.

The issue is we have 6 loan players and only 5 spots available.

One of Ramsey or Mowatt would need to drop out of the squad.
I don't see it being Ramsey.

He's screwed then isn't he :ROFLMAO:

Would personally like him in instead of Mowatt as gives us other options up front but can't see Carrick doing that

I think he will still turn out to be a decent player, but he's not suited to Carricks proffered style and largely been a victim of that I think.

Mcgree is currently looking tired and frustrated after 85 minutes v Ecuador.

Ecuador have been pretty physical and his Aussie team mates are pretty limited and laboured.
