Muniz

Strange if true. I mean he was clearly a Scott target and one we've watched loads of and a longterm target.

Yet that's a longterm target of someone who I'm guessing wasn't Warnock. It seems a bit 'Payero' and not sure it's what the gaffer wants.

I can't believe Wilder has said 'the guy I want is Muniz'. Oh that just happens to be the player we wanted last year 😂

He didn't really do anything. Especially at 6-7mil that they paid. Then again he was behind the best CF in the championship. So hard to tell. Yet never looked like a 7mil CF.

If true then Fulham don't think he's good enough for the prem. I'd presume it's a possible loan as he's contracted for 4 years.

We were in for him WAY before Scott came on the scene. We had the option to sign him January 2021 (two windows before Kieran Scott)

Whoever we sign has to be someone Wilder actually wants.

All of these points above about Wilder needing to be on board with the signing are so true, we've got a history of foisting 'gifts' onto our managers and they rarely end well.

I can't see Wilder standing for interference to be honest and the behind the scenes team seems more cohesive than at any point over the last few years. Even the piece in the Gazette recently had Wilder talking about making some subtle tweaks to facilities at Rockliffe so the offices of key staff (him, the coaches, Scott and Bausor) were all close together to increase contact and communication. If we're in for him then Wilder will be on board. He might not have heard of him originally but he's probably seen the groundwork from others and been convinced. That's if we are in for him and it isn't a case of 2+2=5.

I'm pretty sure half of Wilders 'issues' at Sheff UTD were then signing players he didn't want.

He gets panned for a lot of big money singings that's he's hinted at as not his after that first season.

I'm not having it that we'd do it to him.

Although I'd probably rather have him than Mcgoldrick / Gayle or Rhodes.

Not sure how I feel about this if it happens.

Who wanted him last year? Does Wilder definitely want him or will we find out in 12 months he was never interested and was brought in as a favour?

He was up here today, so definitely looks like it’s happening. Just hope Wilder has had some input, wants him and will play him. Am sure he has. Can see him on the plane to Portugal.
If he is signing, wouldn’t he still be in the area stopping over at Rockliffe for the night rather than tweeting from London this evening?

2hr train ride back to London, pack a bag, have a kip, train back to Go with the group to Portugal.
How good would this be , Fulham do the hard work of getting him learning the lingo, settling into our culture, and we then sign him firing on all cylinders, had a year learning what is required and being shown the way by Mitrovic.
I think it will be a loan ( if it happens ) but would happily give them their money back - 8m euros - £6.7m or even better , a loan to buy .Just need another Spanish speaking strike partner for him , Joel Piroe would do for me, and his partner Obafemi .
