I know this sounds vague but what are the best ones to get? Spending a lot of time indoors and sedentary, plus feeling generally run down so could do with a bit of an helping hand?

Centrum Performance for me. Has alll the usuals you’d expect plus a few extra like Ginseng that give you a nice little boost.

Also please bear in mind I'm on meds for anxiety etc so I don't really want anything which has a chance of clashing with them 👍

You really should not take anything at all without running it past a pharmacist or GP if you are on meds already, as you know, there are plenty of supplements people can take that can interact with certain prescribed medicines, don’t trust a layman.

If you eat a healthy balanced diet you will get most of the required vitamins and minerals your body needs. The one vitamin that is lacking in food is Vitamin D which you get ideally from exposing your skin to the suns rays for 30-45 mins a day. In the winter when the suns rays are few and far between it’s important to get your Vitamin D from other sources like supplements as low Vitamin D levels have been associated with depression, rickets and lowered immunity. They reckon over half the population is deficient in Vitamin D.

The few foods that have some sort of Vitamin D in them are oily fish like salmon, mackerel and sardines. Other foods include egg yolks, red meat and liver but all have small amounts.

If you do get a Vitamin D supplement make sure it is Vitamin D3.

I like the seven seas cod liver oil with multivitamins
I've always been a believer in cod liver oil so it's nice to have an all in one.

Get a decent brand, I read an article a while ago re Cod Liver Oil, which has been touted as good for you for years, anyway the study - Lancet - IRC, stated that cheap CLO contained pollutants that could bring on arrhythmia 🤣 so dropped them from the regime, sure 30 odd years of use won't have affected me 🤣👍

it's easy to say eat a sensible well balanced diet..... but when u are feeling crap (due to ongoing physical or mental issues) it's not always easy to do the things a "normal" person may do - shop sensibly (or even get to good shops), spend time cooking, & eat when you're supposed to. it can be a bit of a vicious circle, so knowing that multivits might help is surely better than nothing.
