Been ill for the last two days with a covid like, but so far not covid, bug and been stuck in bed feeling sorry for myself and watching a bit footy. Sorry to the Friday night regulars for not getting a thread up, but thankfully I'd seen one had been started so glad you didn't miss out.
Anyhow I digress. To fill in some time I also watched Mulholland Drive for the first time, and found it to be totally engaging and despite being a relatively long film the time flew.
I wouldn't say I'm a David Lynch fan specifically as only really seen Blue Velvet, Wild at Heart and Twin Peaks previously.
I was expecting it to be surreal, a bit of a mind twister and probably unfathomable in parts.
Did anyone get any sort of idea as to what it was about? Great film, no doubt but still as clueless as before I'd even watched it.
I'm guessing it's something to with the main part of the film actually being a Bobby Ewing style dream sequence with the latter part being the harsh reality. I wouldn't even bet 50p on it though. Great film, twisted as he'll. Typical Lynch really then.
