Dont know if this guy has been raised before?

Enfield Town striker Muhammadu Faal has turned heads in the EFL after his impressive start to the season with Barnsley, Millwall, Middlesbrough, Ipswich Town, Sheffield Wednesday, and Sunderland all having scouted him, Football League World can exclusively reveal.

The 24-year-old has been in outstanding form for the Isthmian League Premier Division club, scoring 14 goals in 18 games since rejoining from Bolton Wanderers in the summer.

Faal has spent most of his career in non-league football but secured a move to the EFL with Bolton in January 2020 after scoring 24 goals in 25 appearances for Enfield in the first half of the 2019/20 campaign.

Things didn’t work out for him with the Trotters but having returned to the London club, he looks to be back to his best and his stunning start to the season may earn him another chance in the Football League.

Faal’s goals have helped Enfield to climb to third in the Isthmian League Premier Division – the seventh tier of the English football pyramid – with games in hand over the teams above them.

Not long ago, Isaiah Jones was unknown [a "project"?] from Tooting and Mitcham.
Hes worth more to the team than some of those we chucked money at over the years.
This team would be considerably weakened by his absence.
This lad must have something.
There is a player, Ruben Rodrigues, at Notts County, who is being closely watched by Blackpool and a few other Championship clubs - never played at that level, but doing very well at the Magpies.
We`ve seen what happens when players receive the right handling and Management(y)

Feels like another ‘project’ and I personally don’t think we need any more of them, we need the real deal.

I think we definitely need to maximise the lower leagues, which are comparatively a much more cost-effective way of strengthening the squad.

As Roofie says, Jones is a perfect example and this lad would, I'm sure, go into the U23's and would not be seen as a signing which would be an oven-ready first team player.

They all dont work out, obviously, but it shouldn't stop us exploiting the lower league market.

He's 24, been to an EFL club, been sent back to non-league. Absolutely no chance of him coming good, for us or anyone else at champo level or above.

Good season scoring against the likes of Cheshunt and Bognor Regis.

No mention in that article that last season in the National League for Barnet he scored 0 goals in 20 games. Who wrote it ? His agent?

Tbf Barnet were awful last year and he didn’t get a look in at Bolton

If we want to look at strikers with good scoring records in non league then we ought to take a look at Shaun Jeffers at St Albans City. He’s in a higher League than Faal, scoring virtually a goal a game since he joined them last season.

Hes 29 years old, we need to just leave it well alone.

Morning mate, I was talking about shaun Jeffers of St Albans
Haha. I wasn’t serious. He’s a decent striker at that level. He wouldn’t be good enough for anything above National League level.

Mo Faal has had two seasons in higher league and has failed to find the net. Enfield are very local. Saw him play in an FA Trophy game last week where they lost 5-0. He didn’t stand out mainly because the team he was playing were a couple of leagues above and handled him comfortably. Not good enough in my opinion to play league level . Coming from ust a fan on the terraces.
